I’ve spent thirteen years writing emails, building funnels, and learning what actually makes people click. That’s not a brag — it’s just time spent watching real numbers move.
Here’s what I don’t know: anything about AI beyond typing a question into a chat box and hoping for something useful.
Every time I’ve tried to use it for real work, it’s been slower than doing the thing myself. More time explaining what I wanted than it would’ve taken to just write it.
So why start this now? Two things I keep noticing:
- Creators doing massive numbers with none of the funnel fundamentals I spent over a decade learning.
- People using AI as actual agents — not chat, agents — to build and ship things daily, while most of us are still stuck typing one-off questions.
I want to find out what’s actually on the other side of “just chatting.” So I’m starting from zero, in public. No AI background. Just marketing instinct and a willingness to look a little dumb while I learn the technical side I’m missing.
So today, instead of just talking about it, I actually tried something. The video version of this post — I built the script for it using AI, not by typing one question and hoping, but by going back and forth, getting specific, until it actually matched what I wanted to say. It took some back and forth. It wasn’t magic. But it worked, and that script is the proof.
Then I went one step further: I had it build me a content calendar — for real, on my real Google Calendar, not a mockup. Fourteen days of entries, daily video and Reel slots, and I didn’t type a single one in myself. I told it what I wanted, and it built the whole thing directly on my account.
That’s day one. A script and a content calendar, both real, nothing staged. If you know the craft of marketing but not the tools, you’re probably right where I am.
Follow along. Let’s figure this out together.
